September is recognized as National Suicide Prevention Month. The month is dedicated to raising awareness on suicide along with educating the masses on the importance of prevention. Suicide is not something that is to be taken lightly as it is the 10th leading cause of death in America (according to the CDC.) Suicide is also one of the hardest conversations to have, but it is necessary that we openly discuss this to aid in prevention.
In today’s episode of a Dose of Fresh Air, I will be discussing the importance of compassion as it is at the epicenter of most of our issues today. It is important that we not turn a blind eye when we know others are hurting and rather lend a hand or at least radiate love towards others.
