Many times we have preconceived beliefs and biases that come to mind when in social interactions. Whether it be someones race, gender or sexual preference we tend to have a thought attached to this person based on whatever our mental bank has stored. The issue is that this “mental bank” tends to get information from our parents, the media, friends and/or religion. It is important to monitor these thoughts and establish where that bias thought came from. If these beliefs are not coming from your own experience then it is unfair to believe them so wholeheartedly. I urge you to challenge these limiting, fear-based thoughts and find out for yourself if they hold truth.
It is your life after all so why not do the work to define it based on your experience!
