Life is Short: In Honor of Kobe Bryant
On Sunday, January 26th 2020, the world lost a legend. When things like this happen it sends a wave of energy throughout the universe that manages to affect us all. Kobe Bryant was a retired basketball player known for his undeniable talent on the court. He won various championships while playing for the LA Lakers and showed everyone watching what it meant to truly believe in yourself. Unfortunately at the age of just 41, Kobe died in a tragic helicopter accident alongside his daughter Gianna (Gigi) Bryant, six other passengers and the pilot. As they were on their way from Calabasas, CA to a basketball game, their helicopter seemingly lost control before crashing in the hills.
The images began circulating and you could suddenly feel the world stand still. It felt as if someone hit the pause button on our hectic lives and everyone was collectively present in that instance.
Moments like these force us to feel the emotions we fear the most, such as the idea of losing someone you love or how you would feel if that was you in that helicopter. News flash, your life can change forever in seconds, the unexpected can happen and life is short. Take this time to appreciate what you have whether that be the people who love you or the opportunity you had today when you woke up. Gratitude is something our world needs more of and I urge you to help change that. I urge you to show gratitude for your life NOW because why not now? Sometimes we think it is better to wait for the “right time” when there is no right time. On this episode, I talk about the loss of Kobe Bryant, the impact it’s had on all of us, the importance of monitoring our energy and how to see light even in the darkest moments.
